In order to make sure you hear everything we hear, I created this Disney Food News Pinboard to capture the bits and pieces of information we receive through the grapevine.
I’m so grateful for all of the tidbits of info that I hear from readers and friends — I rely on you guys to be my eyes and ears for the DFB since I’m in Texas. If you hear a piece of Disney Food News, please pass it along to us via twitter, facebook, or email so that we can post it either on the Blog or on the Pinboard!

Here are some news tidbits that we don’t have a full post about on the site, but that are important to know for your next Disney vacation!
Citricos Wine Dinners: Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian has announced upcoming wine dinners! There will be a focus on Portuguese wines, hosted by Regional Sales Manager- Melissa Hoffman at the June 10th wine dinner from 6:00-8:30PM.
To book, please call 407-824-3988. Seating is limited in the Chefs Domain. Have ready: Name, number of guests in party, cell phone, and credit card guarantee (48 hour cancellation policy).
Price- $165/per person (Inclusive of gratuity) plus tax.

Reservations Now Available for Frozen Summer Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Reservations for the Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package are now available for June 17 – September 7, 2015.
The Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package includes:
–See Anna and Elsa in the reserved viewing for Frozen Royal Welcome, complete with regal refreshments—water, a selection of soft drinks, and ice cream
–Reserved seating for your choice of (1) show time of For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
–Frozen Fireworks viewing with dessert party, a dazzling nighttime display of fireworks paired with Frozen-themed desserts as well as specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Pomegranate Margarita Update at La Cava: Epcot’s La Cava del Tequila has changed up their Pomegranate Margarita recipe. It even has Strongbow Hard Apple cider. Stop by and give it a try!
Tables in Wonderland Events: Two new Tables in Wonderland events have been announced for April. Both will take place at Jiko in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Turkey Legs in the Magic Kingdom: Note that turkey legs will no longer be served from Frontierland and Liberty Square kiosks. Look for this hearty snack at Cool Ship in Tomorrowland starting March 25th.
Cinderella’s Royal Table: The Magic Kingdom’s restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, has re-opened after a lengthy refurbishment. Details are still emerging on whether changes have been made to pricing, menus, and/or decor. We’ll keep you posted as we learn further information.
New Menu at Maya Grill: Maya Grill at Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort has released a new menu. Check it out here.
Four Seasons Orlando Events: Four Seasons Resort Orlando has announced several upcoming special dinners, including some with special James Beard Award nominated guests:

Rajat Parr Wine Dinner
Capa is pleased to welcome Rajat Parr, world renowned sommelier, author of Secrets of the Sommeliers and winemaker of Domaine de la Cote & Sandhi Wines, for a five-course dinner by Chef Tim Dacey with wines from Parr’s own projects. Parr is a 2015 James Beard Award nominee on behalf of the Mina Group for Outstanding Wine, Beer or Spirits Professional.

Sunset Ranch Market Update: Fairfax Fare at the Sunset Ranch Market in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is no longer open for breakfast. The Quick Service restaurant options for breakfast are Trolley Car Cafe, Starring Rolls Cafe, and Writer’s Stop.
Cookes of Dublin Menu Update: The Doh Bar no longer appears on the menu (what??!!) at Cookes of Dublin in Downtown Disney Orlando. But we’ve talked to the chef, and it will be back eventually! Thanks to Reader Emily for this information.
Kona Cafe Updates: Reader Emily also reports that her family was able to order the ‘Ohana bread pudding to be brought to their table! “The portion was plentiful, the single serving about the same size as the portion for 2 people served at ‘Ohana. Came with the same lovely sauce and ice cream!”
Also, the “New York Strip is now served with a maple bacon butter instead of teriyaki pineapple. It is served with choice of potato and seasonal veggies (mine was delicious broccoli). Half of an entire bunch of garlic cloves come roasted as well, ready for delicious spreading. It was incredible!”

Pacific Wharf Cafe Menu Update: At Disney California Adventure, Pacific Wharf Cafe’s menu has been updated and now appears much smaller. For example, the Chili and Shrimp Louie Salad have been removed.

Liberty Tree Tavern Rehab Announcement: Walt Disney World has announced that Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Tree Tavern will be closed for refurbishment as of July 6, 2015. No official re-opening date has been released, however it’s anticipated to re-open just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Online Disney Menus Revamped: The online Disney restaurant menus at www.disneyworld.com have a new format. Check it out!
Storybook Treats Updated Menu: Storybook Treats at the Magic Kingdom has removed milkshakes from the menu and in their place are orchard cherry and cake batter frozen yogurts for $3.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. Thanks to DFB Reader Kyle for the heads up!
Stitch Waffles at ‘Ohana: Stitch-themed waffles are now being served at ‘Ohana’s family-style breakfast in the Polynesian Village Resort. During this festive breakfast, Mickey Waffles are still being served as well! Source: Tikiman
New Menu at Victoria Falls: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to the Victoria Falls Lounge. Stop by and try the new menu featuring flavors of Africa and India! Choose from artisinal cheeses, tandoori chicken wings, “pork” wings, Peri Peri scallops, chickpea bites, and more tapas. Source: Disney Parks Blog
Boatwright’s Menu Update: DFB received an anonymous tip about upcoming changes to the Boatwright’s Menu. This restaurant is nestled inside the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Let’s take a look…
Amelia’s Salad: spinach salad with seasonal ingredients with house-made vinaigrette
Crescent City Gumbo: chicken and Andouille gumbo, slow-cooked in a Cajun-spiced broth
Plantation Salad: romaine, Parmigiano-Reggiano croutons and prosciutto with house dressing
Ol’ Man Island Oysters: lightly fried oysters with house-made remoulade and watercress salad
Colonel’s Peace’s Crawfish Pieces: crispy crawfish bites, served with house-made remoulade
The Big Easy: grilled New York strip with brandy-peppercorn sauce with Yukon gold potatoes, arugula and balsamic dressing
General Fulton’s Prime Rib: carefully seasoned and slow roasted, served with horseradish mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and red wine demi-glace
Jackson Square Etouffee: crawfish simmered in a rich seafood sauce over rice
The Louisiana Lugger: sweet tea-brined pork chop with sweet potato hash and citrus-whiskey glaze

Red Velvet Cheesecake: with bourbon-vanilla cream
New Dessert at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater: Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has debuted a new dessert. It’s a Warm Glazed Doughnut stacked with Cinnamon Apples and topped with vanilla ice cream.
Sanaa Menu Update: Chai Cream is no longer appearing on the menu at Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Thanks to DFB Reader Abby for the heads up!
Splitsville Adds Gluten Free Dishes:
Sixteen new gluten free dishes have been added to the regular Splitsville menu. This Downtown Disney location in Orlando now features delicious, gluten free dishes including: rice bowls (fiesta chicken, steak fajita, Asian shrimp and spicy veggie) served with sticky rice; pizza crust; sushi rolls with no rice (The Alberto with spicy tuna and avocado rolled in thinly sliced cucumber and served with lemon ponzu sauce); Blazing Chicken (tenderloins in spicy Buffalo sauce), steamed edamame and seared ahi tuna (also served as a salad with spring mix and Asian pear dressing); turkey BLT salad (roasted turkey, lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, bacon, red onion, and blue cheese); blackened mahi mahi with spicy voodoo shrimp; and grilled salmon.

Chips & Slices Open at Lake Buena Vista Golf Course: Check out Chips & Slices before or after your round of golf at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf. Serving breakfast and lunch, plus beer and mixed drinks!
Updated Menu at Disneyland’s Harbour Galley: Harbour Galley in Disneyland has debuted new menu items including a classic lobster roll and shrimp Cobb salad. The popular Broccoli and cheddar cheese soup and clam chowder selections will still be offered. While the broccoli-cheese baked potato has been removed, a new shrimp salad topped spud joins the popular bacon-cheese-sour cream potato on the menu. Creamy cole slaw has been added to the barbecue chicken baked potato too. There’s also fresh fruit and a Kids’ Power Pack (yogurt, fruit, veggies, crackers and milk or water)!
New Entertainment at Scat Cat’s Club at Port Orleans French Quarter: Scat Cat’s Club in the Port Orleans French Quarter resort has new evening entertainment. While jazz musician Elliot Dyson is no longer performing, Tom Casey (pianist and vocalist) will appear Friday through Monday at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30PM. Source: WDW For Grownups
Heinz Natural Ketchup: Disney’s Hollywood Studios counter service condiment kiosks now feature Heinz Natural Ketchup packets. They are made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. Thanks to Reader Steven for the heads up!
Ghirardelli Snack Credit: Disney Dining plan snack credits can be used at Ghirardelli’s Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. Anything below $5 (before tax) is a snack credit and includes the Decadent Drinking Chocolate. Snack credits can be used at the Soda Fountain and the Chocolate Shop!

Walt Disney World Restaurant Closures
Liberty Tree Tavern: Walt Disney World has announced that Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Tree Tavern will be closed for refurbishment as of July 6, 2015. No official re-opening date has been released, however it’s anticipated to re-open just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Flame Tree Barbecue is closed in January 2015 for a 3 month refurbishment.
