So, last month I headed out west for the 24-Hour Kickoff of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Anniversary Celebration …and pretty much ate my way through Disneyland in three days. SO, I have LOTS to share with you here on the blog of my epic Diamond eating adventure.
But, today I’m going to highlight one of the best things I ate, hands down, during those three days. And that’s saying something, because I had a Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone, brunch at Club 33, all five Jungle Skewers at the Bengal Barbecue and so much more.
Are you ready? Then allow me to set the scene…you wander into the Candy Palace to check the candy cases to see what’s new…
And here they are…
The minute I saw them for the first time (they are new, by the way), I knew I had to have them. The sweet cast member told us to come back later in the day so that we could try both the milk chocolate caramel stick, and the dark chocolate salted carmel stick (since only the milk chocolate was available at the time). Ummmm…yes please!
OK these are ridiculous. And so simple!
A slab of rich, super-soft, fresh buttery caramel dipped in dark or milk chocolate. That’s it! Then the addition of some coarse salt to the dark chocolate version for added depth of flavor.
We thought it might be a tough chew considering the thickness of the caramel, but both sticks were impressively soft. That’s what really sets them above the bar when it comes to caramel treats — that easy-soft texture. It’s like buttah. These are unreal.
They’re four bucks apiece. Grab ‘em. Just do it. They’ll be one of your best Disneyland memories.
What’s your favorite Candy Palace treat? Please let us know with a comment!
