Believe it or not, Disney World’s Halloween season is almost upon us, as the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Kicks off on August 16th.
We previously told you about the new Halloween fireworks show coming to Magic Kingdom, and now we have even MORE details about Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular!
As we’ve previously shared with you, the new show will be hosted by Jack Skellington himself! According to Disney, he has come to share a “not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Zero, Jack’s ghostly pup, will then fly off and carry everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure.”
The new show will features “state-of-the-art projections and lasers, plus lighting and dazzling fireworks that will fill the sky above Magic Kingdom Park.”
Today, Disney released a brand-new video that gives a “first look” at the show. The video shows just how dramatic and impressive the Spectacular may be. The video shows projections of dancing skeletons, some of our favorite characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy), and so much more! James Silson, Show Director for Disney Parks Entertainment, also gives some insight into the inspiration behind the new show.
Take a look at the video below!
This sneak peek makes us even more excited for Halloween at Magic Kingdom! We can’t wait to experience Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular for the first time.

Are you attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year? Let us know in the comments!
Oh no! Does this mean no more Sanderson Sisters?? ?
Andee, no! They will still be performing nightly during the party!
No more perimeter fireworks?!? 🙁 🙁 🙁
So excited for our trip in October!! Are DDP QS credits eligible for use at the halloween party? There are a lot of snacks we’d like to try at the event and we have the QS DDP
Our first yeast attending. My daughter, a Disney college graduate, is excited to see the changes since her stint at Disney. We are all excited!!!!!
Do the dessert parties really have good fireworks and effects viewing? I would like to attend one but wondered if it was worth the price. I know the treats themselves are no doubt delicious.
Chrissy, some views from Tomorrowland Terrace are obstructed, but if you get a good seat, you can see the projections and the fireworks fairly well. If you’re in the Plaza Garden View, you can see pretty much everything without obstruction. I’d suggest trying to find YouTube videos of the parties where people give you a view of the show so you can get a precise idea of the sight lines.
Kimhx, typically the treats DO accept Disney Dining Plan.
I’ve hear people go to the Polynesian beach to watch the fireworks. Is the Not so Spooky Spectacular one that can be seen at the Polynesian?
Deanna, the pyrotechnics would be visible from the Polynesian, yes! The projections are limited-to-no views, though.
