Hey, pals! What a crazy fun day it has been thanks to the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios AND the start of the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
A few days ago we shared that Disney would be released a few Star Wars-themed treats to celebrate this iconic day. We’ve already shared our thoughts about the returning Lightsaber Churros and the Red Velvet Kylo Ren Cake, but now it’s time to sink our teeth into the Galaxy’s Edge Wookie Cake!!
The Galaxy’s Edge Wookie Cake…which looks an awful lot like our pal Chewbacca…is a chocolate cake, with a caramel custard filling and chocolate buttercream.
Though the details are out-of-this-world, the cake itself was pretty simple when it came to the flavors!
We really LOVED the caramel custard filling and the cake was nice and moist. And the buttercream was very nice and sweet!
We thought this was a yummy, yet simple treat that should please a bunch of Star Wars fans and chocolate lovers, alike! It will be available at Contempo Cafe from August 29th-31st for $5.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Star Wars treats here!
