Welcome back to another roundup of What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
Today, we’ve got several construction and merchandise updates to chat about, so let’s get started!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Entrance
Let’s kick things off around the park entrance, where a LOT of construction work is taking place.
The Walk Around the World bricks were still stacked behind a construction wall, and they were also working on repaving the area.
Tomorrowland
Construction is also underway in Tomorrowland, which will be home to the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle Run coaster!
The coaster, which will be like the TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai, is slated to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2021. (Can’t 2021 hurry up and get here??)

A while back, we had reported that Tomorrowland’s Astro Orbiter was temporarily closed. During our most recent visit to the Kingdom, we saw that it was open once again! According to a Cast Member, the closure was just for routine maintenance.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Uptown Jewelers
An adorable it’s a small world tote has cruised into Uptown Jewelers for $84! The tote is designed by Danielle Nicole and is covered with patches and phrases just like the ones you’ll see at the end of the classic Disney ride.
The back of the tote is clean and simple.

Memento Mori
A Madame Leota-themed perfume has made a spooktacular appearance in Memento Mori!
Though we’ve spotted it online before, it’s newly available in Liberty Square for $39.99.

The Emporium
Over in The Emporium, we spotted a Jack Skellington Haunted Mansion phone case ($29.99) we hadn’t seen before!
They had cases available for iPhone X/Xs and iPhone 6 Plus/7 Plus/8 Plus.
Before we say goodbye, we want to note that banners and signage were still up at Mickey and Minnie’s Celebration Central, but the book for signing was no longer there. The special celebration is set to wrap up on Monday, September 30th.
That wraps up our walk around Disney World’s Magic Kingdom — thanks for joining us! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for even more news from the Disney parks and resorts.
