Hiya, pals! It’s a new week in Disney!
It’s Monday and that means it’s time for an update on closed attractions in Disney World. If you’re headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth, don’t be caught unaware by a closed attraction! Here’s a round-up of all the refurbishments going on while you celebrate the season in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
Refurbishments at Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World Railroad
It’s been this way for a while but we have sad news for train-enthusiasts. The famous Walt Disney World Railroad is closed in Magic Kingdom due to the construction of TRON Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland. So, no fun rides around the park but you can visit the train station for a photo op with one of the iconic trains!
We can’t wait for this attraction to reopen which will hopefully be around the time that the TRON ride is complete if not sooner. The coaster is set to be completed in time for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.
Refurbishments at Epcot
Impressions de France
As part of the exciting transformation of Epcot, Impressions de France has closed. Its venue, Palais du Cinema, is closed as well while it undergoes refurbishment to become the location for a new Beauty and the Beast sing-along that will appear in the France Pavilion in January 2020.
Canada Circle-Vision Theater
We saw the closure of the Canada pavilion’s ‘O Canada, the Circle-Vision 360° film a while back and the Circle-Vision Theater is yet to start showing the new film Canada Far and Wide. You’ll have to wait until January 2020 to see the new flick!
Refurbishments at Animal Kingdom
Primeval Whirl — OPEN!
Well, one particular closure is over! That’s right, folks! Say “Long time no see!” to Animal Kingdom’s Primeval Whirl! We saw the lengthy closure of this ride start a few months back and we were starting to wonder if it would ever open again. Well, Disney announced that Primeval Whirl would be operated seasonally and it opened today for the first of its seasonal windows!
Currently, Primeval Whirl is sitting at a 70-minute wait! So, I guess peeps were eager to hop on this now seasonal ride again!
And, with no planned closures in Hollywood Studios this week, that’s all! Check back next week for updates on these refurbishments and we’ll be sure to let you know if we get any updates in the meantime. Happy Turkey Week!
