We know this has been a deeply troubling time for many families impacted by the Coronavirus. We’ve heard of several parties forced to cancel or reschedule trips to Disney World along with Disney Cast Members being sent home in an effort to protect guests from COVID-19.

We have received news that we felt needed to be shared with any readers who have been been passing through the Orlando International Airport in the midst of the latest events.
According to a local area news station, WFTV9, a Transportation Security Officer at the Orlando International Airport has initially tested positive for COVID-19. The officer has since returned home and is resting until doctors have granted clearance.

Other TSA officers who had been in contact with the affected officer were advised to self-quarantine for the next 14 days.

UPDATE: As of 12:15 PM EST, the TSA has reported that the affected officer’s last shift was March 10th from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM

TSA has also announced that passengers may bring up to 12 ounces of liquid hand sanitizer on board, which provides an exemption to the traditional 3.4 ounce carry on rule.

Do we know when & where this person worked? As tens of thousands of people have traveled through that airport the past 2 weeks?

Would be nice if they can disclose where she worked the last 2 weeks as she can have transmitted that virus during that time. I came back from WDW on March 8th through checkpoint west and want to know if I came in contact or within the vicinity of her.

Diana, it looks like Terminal B, based on a map I’m looking at, but I’m not 100% sure.
