Somebody stop the INSANITY!! Now that the first two rounds of our DFB official Counter Service Throw Down have wrapped up, things are truly starting to become UNHINGED!
Don’t worry if you haven’t been playing along — there’s still time to print out your bracket and get ready for round three which starts TONIGHT!
Round One was a doozy and we lost many a noble quick service establishments early on in the quest for total Disney World restaurant DOMINATION. That’s right — 64 gladiators have entered this arena of battle, but only one will emerge as champion! Here are your round two results!
Once again, Aloha Isle has come out on top, beating Cheshire Cafe. Meanwhile (MAJOR UPSET ALERT!!!), Woody’s Lunch Box has beaten out Ronto Roasters! Y’all enjoy Lunch Box Tarts and Potato Barrels MORE THAN Ronto Wraps? WE THOUGHT WE KNEW YOU!
Gaston’s Tavern has put the sleeper hold on Sleepy Hollow (he must have learned that sweet move over the weekend while watching Wrestlemania!). But with Cinnamon Rolls that are roughly the size of his biceps, this comes as no surprise!
Casey’s Corner has slid into the next round, stealing the base from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe! If they hit a home run in the third, we’re going dump a cup of Plastic Cheese over everybody’s heads!!
Speaking of plastic cheese, Flame Tree Barbecue’s got the eye of the tiger now that it has just taken down Satu’li Canteen! We don’t think this next round is going to go very well for D-Luxe Burger — its next competitor!
And it looks like La Cantina de San Angel is STILL in this thing somehow! They’ve just taken out ANOTHER France pavilion spot, L’Artisan des Glaces! What did the French ever do to you to take such a savage beating?!
Get ready to cast your vote on Instagram TONIGHT as we bring you round three of this stiff competition! We can’t wait to see who your favorites will be!
There’s still time to grab a bracket and make your predictions here!

Still stunned that Gaston’s upset Sleepy Hollow. While I do enjoy their huge Cinnamon roll which we actually had last trip a few mos ago, it isn’t as full of options like Sleepy Hollow and the Nutella waffle, other waffles, and sweet/spicy chicken sandwich as well. Totally underrated lunch time sandwich!! My only other was Lotus upsetting one of my fav’s in Morocco, Tangeriene. Kringla is a fav but Pineapple Lanai will probably get to final. Now, will we have a final matchup of Aloha Isle vs Pineapple Lanai?? Uh Oh! Or can Flame Tree or Ghirardelli have a good day with an upset to prevent that Dole Whip matchup???
While I’m sure that Chicken Guy’s food is good, it’s still CHICKEN, & there’s no way that chicken is better than pizza, & especially Blaze Pizza, which may be the best pizza in all of Disney World.
