All sorts of lessons are being presented online right now for at-home learning, and we’d like to let you know of one that might put a little extra spring — or perhaps we should say “jig” — in your step. Tomorrow, our friends from Raglan Road in Disney Springs are presenting an online lesson in the art of Irish Dance!
On Wednesday, April 15th at 11:00 AM EST, you’re invited to join Raglan Road Orlando for a Facebook Live event: “Reeling Back the Years” — a live dance lesson featuring Maggie Domino!
Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, Maggie attended her first Irish dance lesson 20 years ago. For the past four years, Maggie has performed as a professional member of the Raglan Road Irish Dance troupe. (Maggie may have even taught your little dancer a step or two in person as she works with children on the Raglan Road stage during participation dances.)
Among her other accomplishments, Maggie has also performed with Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance,” and is a three-time world medal holder, placing sixth in the World Irish Dance Championships (An Coimisiún). Raglan Road shares that Maggie has also placed in the top three in every other international major, including the Great Britain Championships and the All-Ireland Championships.
So I think it’s pretty safe to say that you’re in good hands for your lesson tomorrow!
And straight from the whole gang at Raglan Road: “Until we meet again, stay safe, stay healthy, and put on those dance shoes to step lively for the best-ever shelter-in-place fun with our pro dancer!”
