Disney+ made its big debut on November 12, 2019.

And things just keep getting bigger for the streaming service! In early April, it was announced that Disney+ had already reached a major milestone with more than 50 MILLION subscribers around the globe. Looking forward, it appears that things will only go up from here.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Digital TV Research analyst Simon Murray forecasts a subscriber count of 202 million worldwide by 2025 for Disney+.

The article notes that this is up from the analyst’s previous estimate of 126 million (which was an increase from an initial estimate of 101 million).

Forecasts have been revised in light of the global health situation, as people seek more options for at-home entertainment. (Subscriber estimates were also increased for Netflix, Amazon, and more along with “total global streaming subscriptions” overall.)
