Disney Springs in Walt Disney World will begin a phased reopening on May 20th. While the initial reopening phase will involve restaurants and shops operated by third-party vendors, Disney has confirmed that select Disney-owned and operated locations will be reopening on Wednesday, May 27th.
As a reminder, the Walt Disney World theme parks and Resort hotels remain closed until further notice. However, Disney has confirmed that the Disney-owned shops and restaurants reopening in Disney Springs on May 27th will include the following three locations:
In the Marketplace, World of Disney and the Marketplace Co-Op — two retail locations — will reopen.
Disney confirmed that in accordance with government and health officials, “standalone bars will not be open at Disney Springs.”
Additionally, certain entertainment experiences like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life, cake decorating classes, The Void, Splitsville Luxury Lanes, and the NBA Experience will “not be available at reopen.”
Disney has also provided information about the measures that will be implemented upon reopening for the safety of all guests and cast members. These protocols include temperature checks, capacity limits, and more, and you can read about those in detail here.
