We’ve had Halloween on our minds today, but now we suddenly have reason to think Christmas!
We were busy eating our way through all of the Halloween snacks in Disney World when Disney decided to drop a MAJOR Christmas news bomb! There’s good news and bad news. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not returning this year but EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is ON.
Starting November 27th, certain highlights from the Festival of the Holidays will appear in EPCOT. Though Candlelight Processional will be on hiatus this year, you can get pumped because holiday kitchens will be returning around World Showcase!
Disney has already confirmed that a few of our favorite booths will be returning including American Holiday Table (with it’s Slow-roasted Turkey with Stuffing) and Bavaria Holiday Kitchen (with its CHEESE FONDUE IN A BREAD BOWL).
Some entertainment offerings will be available too. Guests can head into World ShowPlace to see the talented group, JOYFUL! perform R&B, Gospel, contemporary, and traditional Christmas and holiday music. Plus, the Voices of Liberty will be singing up a storm on the America Gardens Theatre stage with carols and songs.
There is a bunch of new holiday news dropping RIGHT NOW, so keep an eye on DFB for those updates!

Are you headed to Disney World this holiday season? Tell us in the comments!
We currently have hotel reservations and Epcot reservations on November 9th. We were hoping to attend Food and Wine Festival then. Are they canceling it early for Christmas? We just read the news about it starting on the 6th.
I was hoping this festival would still be in the works for December.
Do you suggest not visiting Epcot weekends during holiday celebration weekends? I have park pass that Sunday in early December and am more interested in the rides. Don’t know if park pass days can be changed.
Jaan, it’s hard to say for sure, but typically EPCOT is busier on weekends when there’s a festival going on (and often even when there’s not). Park Passes can be changed, but I believe you have to drop one before you can pick up another, and you risk there not being anything available.
DebC, it’s expected to go through December as well.
Roxanne, since the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT isn’t starting until November 27, we expect Food and Wine Festival will linger into November. But Disney hasn’t confirmed this. We’ll update if they do!
