Texas Tea at The Polite Pig

We say “Welcome BACK” because we find ourselves at The Polite Pig with some frequency these days, since the fine folks at this modern BBQ stop are often changing things up with seasonal sips like the Bourbon Blueberry Smash and Frozen Coffee Bourbon Cream. And the new concoction we’re bringing you today is known as Texas Tea!

So, what’s in your Texas Tea? Well, that would be rum, tequila, gin, vodka, triple sec AND bourbon with a lil’ cola and sours mix…

This cocktail on tap (pre-mixed in small batches) is akin to a traditional Long Island… but it’s also made with two kinds of bourbon.

And the end result? As you might anticipate, this sip is STRONG. And it’s also tasty! The most surprising thing about this cocktail is how refreshing it is for the strength of the pour thanks to how well everything mixes together. Now, it’s not for fans of fruity drinks, to be sure.
