Since the Disney World theme parks have reopened in July, several dining locations have remained closed.

Wilderness Lodge

We’ve seen many places start to open again like Woody’s Lunch Box, and others that have announced reopening dates. While this reopening was not announced, we can confirm that Territory Lounge at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge was open to guests this evening!

Territory Lounge is a rustic bar and lounge that serves up small plates, desserts, and cocktails. This location is still listed as “temporarily closed” on the Walt Disney World website and has been closed since the park closures in March.

A sign outside of the lounge states that it is open from 3:30PM to 11PM daily. We confirmed with a Cast Member that Territory Lounge reopened for the first time today.

However, one of our readers (Thanks, Caitlin!!) let us know that she was told that the lounge was only open due to the weather being too cold for Geyser Point (the lounge and pool bar for Wilderness Lodge) to be open outside. You can see signage below noting Geyser Point’s closure, and directing guests to Territory Lounge.

So it’s very likely that Territory Lounge will only be open when it’s too cold outside for guests to comfortably enjoy Geyser Point. (This “open daily” sign above is likely the same one they’ve always used — even before the closures. So we can’t rely on it to actually mean the location will be open daily.)

The inside featured very spread out tables and floor distancing markers and arrows. Guests can order from the bar if they are grabbing drinks to-go, otherwise a server will come to your table. Guests are encouraged not to roam around the lounge.
