Today has certainly been full of Disney surprises!
But there was one thing that surprised us (well, OK…MANY things, but this was quite interesting). During the presentation, Disney CFO Christine McCarthy admitted something huge about the Disney+ demographics. Although Disney+ was initially targeted to children and families, more adults WITHOUT children are actually subscribers in its total addressable market.
Okay, so maybe it isn’t that surprising — it’s many of US! And Disney+ DOES have a lot of programming that appeals to all ages. Plus so much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, and not to mention original programming is on the service. Or maybe it’s just a LOT of Mandalorian stans. 😉
