We’ve been keeping a close eye on the construction of what once was a mysterious shack being built along the Kilimanjaro Safaris route in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Slowly, the construction was completed, and now it’s looking like a fully furnished, little building! We’ve spotted a bunch of new things at this spot recently, like a fire pit, table, clothesline, and more, but we’ve still wondered…what exactly is this place for?? Well, after spotting some new animals hanging out here today, we now know!
The savannas of Kilimanjaro Safaris are home to exotic animals like elephants, rhinos, and giraffes. And now, included in that list of animals are…GOATS! That’s right, goats have arrived at the no longer mysterious building that’s been constructed in Animal Kingdom.

The Goats Have Arrived!
A Cast Member had previously mentioned the possibility that farm animals would come to this spot, so we thought some goats could make an appearance, but today the building mystery was solved and we finally got to see the new area’s residents for ourselves!

Goats on Kilimanjaro Safaris
But, these are no ordinary goats. Disney has shared that these are Nigerian dwarf goats! Despite their small size though, these goals are fully grown adults. Nigerian dwarf goats are considered to be of high value because they can produce a sweet, high protein milk.
This new area totally looks like a fun spot for the goats to hang around with lots of spots for them to check out. As we passed by today, we saw the goats exploring the area, resting, and hanging around.

Goats!
We can’t wait to watch as these goats begin to call this new place “home.” They may not be as eye-catching as the new baby giraffes, but we still think they’re totally cute. Plus, we’re glad that the mystery has finally been solved about this building’s purpose. We’re always on the lookout for the latest info, so be sure to check back with us for more updates about Disney World and all the Disney parks!
