The Disney food and beverage team strives to accommodate guests with special diets. With a few easy steps, you can dine in Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort knowing that all reasonable efforts will be made to address your concerns.

Chef Mickey
Processes are a bit different between Table Service (sit-down) and Counter Service restaurants. First and foremost, however, know that — with any special diet concern — it is always best to speak directly with a trained special diets Cast Member or Chef at each dining location you visit, no matter the service style.

Table Service Restaurants
Table Service restaurants are locations where guests may often make Advance Dining Reservations prior to dining, and the process of dining with a special diet can begin as soon as you make your reservation.
1. Make your Advance Dining Reservations and note your special diet on each reservation.*
2. Email the Special Diets department — [email protected]; or call them at (407) 824-5967
3. Talk to the Chef or Restaurant Manager when you arrive the restaurant.
*As mentioned above, it’s best to notify Disney of any special dietary concerns upon making your Advance Dining Reservations for Table Service restaurants. If you call (407) WDW-DINE to make your reservations, the cast member you speak with can make a note on your reservation. Be vocal that you want your special diet noted on your reservation and request a consultation with a chef, if needed.
If you are making your reservation online via the Walt Disney World website, you will be presented with the option to note a Food Allergy or Special Request as part of the reservation process. When you see the option below, click “Add.”

Here you will be able to select your applicable allergy (“Other” is also an option). Once again, you are reminded to indicate your requirement upon arrival at the restaurant as well.
Counter Service Restaurants
Counter Service restaurants — also called Quick Service — do not accept Advance Dining Reservations. Upon arrival at your chosen location, you can — and should — request to speak with a cast member who can guide you accordingly. You may receive a physical menu noting your options. But, rest assured, you may always request to speak to a chef, as well.

Additionally, Mobile Order — a feature available to guests with the My Disney Experience app (for Disney World) or Disneyland app — is accepted at several major Counter Service locations in both the theme parks and hotels. A terrific feature is available which allows guests to navigate the choices with allergy concerns in mind, by choosing the “Allergy-Friendly” icon.

From here, you can navigate further, as needed.
Various Special Diets
In addition to allergies, many guests travel with diet requirements, preferences, and other concerns. You may visit any of the links below to learn more about dining with various special diets at Disney destinations.
Allergies and Intolerances
The following food allergies and intolerances can usually be accommodated at restaurants in the parks and Resort hotels: gluten, wheat, shellfish, soy, lactose, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, fish or eggs. Visit our Eating with Allergies and Intolerances in Disney World page to learn more.
And a reminder: as with any special diet concern — it is always best to speak directly with a trained special diets Cast Member or Chef at each dining location you visit, no matter the service style.
There are allergy-friendly Walt Disney World menus at about 120 dining locations, including both quick service and table service restaurants. The menus specify the allergen content of each item to help you make choices in line with your family’s needs. Many Counter Service restaurants which accept Mobile Order also provide an “Allergy-Friendly” icon to help guests learn their options.

Kosher
Kosher Meals can be accommodated at most WDW Table Service restaurants. Disney requests that guests call (407) 824-1391 at least 24 hours in advance. Upon arrival at the table service restaurant, guests are also asked to indicate their dietary needs in person.

Vegan and Plant-Based
Yes, vegans and plant-based guests can eat well in Walt Disney World, too… especially these days! In October 2019, Disney announced that every major table and counter service restaurant in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort would offer plant-based options! You can learn more by visiting our Vegan Dining in Disney World page.
Vegetarian
Vegetarians find eating in WDW to be easy and plentiful. If you don’t see an option on the menu, just ask your server or the counter-service cast member for assistance. Often, they’ll readily give you a list of items that aren’t noted on the menu. Both vegans and vegetarians can also enjoy the Plant-Based options around the Disney World parks. Each Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurant now offers specified Plant-Based items (denoted by the plant icon) for guests. Table-Service spots specifically have a Plant-Based appetizer, entree, and dessert on every menu.
