But even with all of that — we still have a few things we’d love to see come to the parks! We’ve gathered up a few food trends that we think Disney could do really well. We’ve seen some of these pop up in certain restaurants briefly or for special events, but we’re ready for these foods to take the parks by storm!

And now there’s a little sweet love for those who eat a plant-based diet: a Vegan Cupcake! [Read more…]

has been churning out ooey, gooey caramel treats in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion since it opened nearly SEVEN years ago.
(I started this blog just over 8 years ago, by the way. Time sure flies when you’re eating your way around Walt Disney World!)
Anyway, it’s all in the name: it’s the Caramel Kitchen, brought to us by Werther’s Caramel. It’s for those of us — and there are those of us 😉 — who adore all things caramel maaaaybe even a bit more than the other candy darling: CHOCOLATE.
Now, that’s not to say that Karamell-Küche doesn’t have a few things in that golden bakery case for chocoholics. Not at all. You’ll find chocolate poured over a Caramel Apple, covering a caramel square, or topping Mickey’s ears on a Krispie Treat.
And now there’s one more that the chocolate lovers — and caramel lovers, of course! — can add to the list to try.
It’s the new Chocolate Caramel Swirl.
Everything you need to know is found in the first glance: it’s a thick cut swirl of chocolate and caramel, finished with chocolate sprinkles surrounding the outer layer. Well, there is one more thing you’d probably like to know: the Chocolate Caramel Swirl comes in at $4.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. [Read more…]

Lately I’ve been a big fan of Disney Marshmallow Wands. Fresh marshmallows dipped in gooey caramel, covered with chocolate then topped with various items: YUM!
In the past we’ve seen lots of fun marshmallow wands. Everything from traditional sprinkles, to Reese’s Pieces, s’mores, character themed, and more. The Candy Cane Marshmallow Wand is currently here for the season, and it’s wonderful! I recently picked one up to enjoy at home and boy, am I glad I did.
The marshmallow is dipped in caramel then dark chocolate….
Perusing the goodie case at Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure, I stumbled across something that could potentially be a new favorite treat.
I’m a huge fan of coconut and I love Mounds and Almond Joy candy bars (they are the first to be stolen from my kids at Halloween), so I figured I’d better check out the new “Mickey Coconut Pattie.”
I’m not sure why the treat is called a “Mickey” Coconut Pattie, because in no way does it resemble Mickey. It’s a big circle; no ears!
Anyhow, I will forgive Disney for this due to the fact that that it tastes amazing. The Mickey Coconut Pattie is $3.99 and is very generously portioned. Plenty big for sharing — or if you don’t want to share, it’s a great treat for eating a bit and saving the rest for later!
A thick dark chocolate coating on the outside topped with [Read more…]
