As the holidays continue to unfold at Disneyland, so do the eats! Today we have more festive treats coming your way – this time from Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure!
“Coming Soon”: Disneyland’s Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland!
The Tropical Hideaway is coming soon to Adventureland in Disneyland Park!
What’s The Tropical Hideaway, you may ask? The former Aladdin’s Oasis is being transformed into a new dining experience where guests will be able to “rub elbows” with skippers in the midst of a traders’ market which will feature the “flavors of the tropics”! The lone piece of concept art revealed in February gives us an idea of the upcoming spot displaying tables, canopies, and thatched roofs along the shores of the river.

Review: NEW Street-Style Hot Dog Menu at Disney California Adventure’s Award Wieners
So… speaking of hot dogs!!!
We’ve long enjoyed Disney California Adventure’s Award Wieners not only for its punny name, but also for its often unique take on typical Hot Dogs and Sausages.
Recently, they changed things up even more with a new selection of Street-style Dogs, so our Disneyland Correspondent, Heather Sievers, made her way over to Hollywood Land to check things out! [Read more…]
Review: Butterscotch Mickey Beignets in Disneyland for Halloween Time
It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland… and a new flavor of Mickey Beignets has come along for the season!
Stop by the Mint Julep Bar to find the Beignets, currently sprinkled with Butterscotch-flavored sugar. (You’ll also see them on the menu at Cafe Orleans.) [Read more…]
Review: Peanut Butter Pretzel Gourmet Treats in Disneyland for a Limited Time
It’s no big secret that a few classic confections like Caramel Apples, Marshmallow Wands, and Mickey Krispy Treats get some pretty stellar Gourmet makeovers on a regular basis at Disneyland.
But if you EVER happen to time your trip during the return of the Peanut Butter Pretzel Gourmet Treats, then run — seriously, tout suite — to your nearest Candy Kitchen (Candy Palace and Pooh Corner in Disneyland, Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure, and Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney). Do not pause — not even to thank me for pointing you in their direction. Just get there and grab one! [Read more…]
Review: Tot-chos and Slushies at Disney California Adventure
Are you ready for some TOT-CHOS?
If you’re asking, “Um, what?” Don’t worry. I did too.
But when we figured it out, we were all in!
Allow us to explain, thanks to the mad review and photo skillz of our Dining in Disneyland Guru Heather Sievers! [Read more…]
Review: Earl of Sandwich in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney
It’s been a while since we’ve visited one of my favorite nosh spots: Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. That’s right… it’s Earl’s, Disneyland-style!
We’re back for a quick visit because I couldn’t wait to dig into the Pepperoni Pizza Bread (and I maaaay have grabbed a few other items, too). The ingredients are exactly what you’d figure: sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on bread. [Read more…]
Dining in Disneyland: Banana Fritters from Royal St. Veranda
Royal St. Veranda in New Orleans Square is one of my favorite dining gems in Disneyland. They are most known for their Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl, but I go there for the fritters!
This spot is located just underneath the staircase to the Dream Suite — right next to Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s simply a walk-up window and a few tables and chairs scattered around. Nothing major, and nothing visually to draw you in. But the menu has always been a guest favorite and you’re about to see why!
