Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge at Night
Today, we celebrated the dedication of Hollywood Studios’ Galaxy’s Edge. Bright and early tomorrow morning the new land will officially open to the public! If you’re one of the brave souls ready to make the lightspeed jump to Batuu for opening day, we’ve gathered some of the most important tips you need to know to ensure you have a successful day navigating Black Spire Outpost in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We are counting down the days until Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29! Over the past several weeks, Disney has released more details of what we can expect, from the opening date for Rise of the Resistance to the menu for Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.
Well, today, we have MORE Galaxy’s Edge news for you! Disney has released the menu for Hollywood Studios’ Milk Stand!
It’s ALMOST HERE! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29! And we can’t wait to say “BRIGHT SUNS!” on the east coast!
We’ve been waiting for details about the immersive land, and now we have a taste of what’s to come. This morning, we got our first look at the menu for Disney World’s version of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo! Docking Bay is the primary dining location and food stop in Galaxy’s Edge, offering several counter-service options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can see our review for Docking Bay 7 HERE!
Don’t know a Tauntaun from a Bantha? Have NO CLUE what a parsec is? Don’t worry — by the end of this post nobody’s gonna call you a scruffy-looking nerf herder!
Let’s travel to a galaxy far, far away to get you up to speed on EVERYTHING you need to know before you head to Batuu.
Ok, first things first — the Star Wars universe is HUGE with SO MANY different stories and plots taking place across thousands of years, so we’re just gonna break down the essentials for visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney World (unless YOU wanna be here for thousands of years ????).
[NOTE: there are DEFINITELY some spoilers from ALL of the Star Wars films in here, but hey you’re the one looking for Star Wars cliff notes.]
Hollywood here we come! Well, Hollywood Studios that is! We found some new drinks, snacks, merchandise, construction updates, and signs that the park is almost ready to welcome Lightning McQueen!
But first, did you hear the biggest news of the month? Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening early on August 29 in Hollywood Studios! Read all the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening news here!
Hello from Hollywood Studios where we are on the lookout for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction progress, Skyliner System gondola testing, new shakes, new eats, new merchandise, and Disney Snacks as artwork!!
We are so excited and anxious for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this fall that no visit to Hollywood Studios is complete without a peek over the “Toy Story Land wall” to see if we can spot any progress!
There’s a lot going on in Hollywood Studios! We collected all of the construction updates in one place. Before you even get in the park there’s a lot of construction to see between the new bus stations and Skyliner station.
There’s a Skyliner gondola in the station again! This gondola looks like it is more operational than the gondola we saw in the station last fall. Learn more about this new transportation option coming to Disney World this fall here.
