Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside
offers some truly delicious and underrated dining.
is the resort’s table service dining option, and it’s a terrific under-the-radar spot that’s pretty much always a sure thing, even when other restaurants are packed to the gills. Muddy Rivers is a great pool bar, and River Roost is a charming place to relax with a drink.
When it comes to quick service dining at the resort, Riverside Mill is where it’s at. We’ve eaten here many times before, and the variety and quality have typically been pretty top-notch for a hotel food court. The atmosphere of Riverside is another winning attribute, helping diners to relax and refuel in a space that’s rustic and comfortable.
When we discovered the menus here had changed, we were eager to try the new items.
The Riverside Mill has great curb appeal with its blue exterior and long front porch. [Read more…]
It’s time to head to Flavortown with another visit to Guy Fieri-helmed Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs. This quick service spot arrived on the scene last August, and we thought it was great and affordably-priced.
But honestly, over the past year it’s become a must-do for me on my Disney trips. I can’t stay away!
I love just about everything here — sandwiches, tenders, fries, mac and cheese, sauces…
OK, I’m particularly drawn to the sauces…as you can see. But don’t worry: you can get more than Buffalo. I just don’t.

Walt Disney World’s Land Pavilion
is home to one of our go-to quick service spots in Epcot’s Future World — Sunshine Seasons — but upstairs from Living with the Land is one of my favorite underrated character meals: Garden Grill. It’s here, in a rotating restaurant, that diners meet Disney character friends, dine on some really great grub, and get a bird’s eye view of the attraction below. It’s truly one-of-a-kind.
Remember, at Garden Grill, always ask for a booth versus a table. I just think they’re more fun, plus your view of the Livin’ With The Land attraction scenes below is much better with a booth!
Before we get into the food, let’s say hello to some friends. Garden Grill is home to Farmer Mickey who always looks sharp in his overalls and plaid!
You know how we at the DFB feel about poutine. We love it so much we created a poutine crawl last year. We visit The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs often to sample their limited time offerings. And if we spot poutine on a menu, we pretty much can’t help ourselves. So secret menu poutine at Le Cellier? Yeah, we gotta tell you about this one!
It’s called Annual Passholder Poutine — but you don’t need to have an Annual Pass to get it! [Read more…]
