Hello, DFB friends! We’re back at another Disney World resort!
We took a walk around Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to see what’s new! So here are the latest updates!
There’s just something about holiday snacks and flavors that just make us feel all warm and cozy inside!
And Disney World has given us a great variety of holiday flavors, too, with such wonderful concoctions like chocolate peppermint bark, frozen salted caramel hot chocolate, and eggnog fudge. YUM!!!
Gingerbread is all the rage in Disney World right now for the holidays! From Cinderella Castle to the perennially beloved gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, this holiday staple is clearly the flavor of the season!
There’s the Gingerbread Castle, Gingerbread Snack Stand, Gingerbread Man Shake, and MORE baking up around the parks and resorts. And we’re tasting another version of the classic Christmas treat at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ holiday celebration!
You will get a sentimental feeling when ya hear it’s almost CHRISTMAS!!
And, Hollywood Studios is getting its wreaths and reindeer ready for the holidays with its park decorations, Sunset Seasons Greetings, Jingle Ball, Jingle BAM!, a dessert party, the sprinkling of some snoap, and ALL the treats. Yeah, that’s right — holiday treats have returned in Hollywood Studios, and we’re coming at you LIVE with the drinks, cupcakes, cookies, and MORE you can expect this year!
We will be updating this post LIVE throughout the day sooo be sure to check back to our treat review, entertainment photos, and so much more!

All over the World, it’s GINGERBREAD TIME!!! It’s a wonderful holiday tradition to feast your eyes on the larger-than-life Gingerbread Displays at several Deluxe Disney World Resorts before you feast your tummy on all the festive treats available during your visit!
We’re going to take you on a visit to the major Gingerbread hot spots in Disney World, and we’ll start our Gingerbread tour at the Epcot area resorts…
My personal favorite is the Gingerbread Carousel found at the Beach Club. I always love to spot the new horses each year making their way on the Merry-Go-Round!
We’d love to introduce you to this year’s team of horses… here’s Julia! [Read more…]
Halloween time has arrived at the Disneyland Resort, and the treats (especially the pumpkin ones) are calling my name!
I found a handful of fun items that I felt needed to be shared immediately so that your Halloween snacking could be planned accordingly.
Please note that we will be posting some in depth reviews of some of these treats, but for now, here’s a mini sampling…
Let’s not save the best for last.
These gems can be found in Disneyland at the Royal Street Veranda. They have REAL pumpkin chunks in them and are fried to perfection. They come with a creamy custard dipping sauce.
The Royal Street Veranda also features a Pumpkin Latte
The Pumpkin Latte is flavorful but not at all artificial tasting.
A perfect treat to keep you warm, if it ever cools down here in Southern California!
AND Spooky Kooky Gingerbread Cookies
Soft, chewy and ginger-bready, with a Halloween twist!
These can also be purchased at the Mint Julep Bar.
Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure had these adorable grim grinning Mickey Ghost Marshmallow Cones in their window.

are awesome, but what are the holidays without a few cookies?
In Disney, there are dozens of types of holiday cookies to choose from, but I always head straight to the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom to find the really creative ones!
And this visit was no different. Every year I find different options, and they’re all as festive and fun and can be. Let’s take a look at the 2012 editions of the Main Street Bakery holiday cookies!
I am a sugar cookie fiend — especially when they’re iced (you’re not surprised, are you?!) — and these ones absolutely stole my heart when I saw them in the bakery case!
This simple design represents Santa himself — complete with his little belt and belt buckle! Later in the week I saw these cookies made with a much larger belt and belt buckle, so there may be a few different versions out there depending on who’s manning the icing counter at the Bakery! 😉
But it’s not always what’s on top that counts! These soft, chewy butter cookies are always worth getting at the bakery. They’re delicious, and have a rich, sweet taste that’s [Read more…]
With a few weeks left of the Disney Holiday Season, you still have plenty of time to head on over to the Disneyland Resort to taste some of the special holiday offerings. Read about some of the fun eats and events happening this year on our 2012 Disneyland Holiday page, and check out even more below…
And even if you aren’t a candy cane or egg nog fan, it’s worth a trip just to see the decor. I mean come on, look at this:
I recently visited Disney’s California Adventure to get a sampling of all the yumminess the resort has to offer this season — and let me tell you, there are some pretty tasty treats.
Both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are carrying a line of holiday caramel apples. Choose from a festive Mickey or Minnie, or go for the cute snowman complete with chocolate Mickey ears and a sour belt scarf!
Both parks are also carrying a variety of Christmas Cupcakes, including this chocolate peppermint one! The frosting is whipped and infused with peppermint flavor.
It was by far my most favorite part of the cupcake. Warning though: with that bright green and red frosting, your tongue stands no chance against staining…
Traditional chocolate cake cupcakes with red & white vanilla frosting topped [Read more…]
