The holiday season can really inspire people to be kinder, more joyous, and more generous to those in need.

But the truth is, no matter what holidays you celebrate or don’t celebrate, it’s always a good time to help others. Earlier this year, we compiled a list of resources for and ways that you can help Cast Members in need in light of the recent furloughs and layoffs. We also shared other ways that you could help others, like by purchasing some of Disney’s Wishes Come True Blue collection to benefit Make-A-Wish.
Now, we’re compiling a list of some fantastic organizations that you can donate to or purchase from to help kids, Cast Members, and more.
Disney often partners with organizations that provide services for critically ill children. This year, the company is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its partnership with Make-A-Wish.
Now, Walt Disney World Resort has donated more than three million Christmas lights to transform Florida’s Give Kids the World Village for the Night of a Million Lights — and we were invited to take a look!
A special event for the holiday season is coming to Give Kids The World Village in Central Florida: Night of a Million Lights!
Give Kids The World Village is a non-profit resort that provides a “storybook” setting where children with critical illnesses together with their families enjoy weeklong vacations (including transportation, tickets to theme parks, and more) at no cost. Give Kids The World Village is a non-profit resort that works closely with The Make-A-Wish Foundation to provides cost-free Disney World vacations for children who are battling critical illness along with their families.
But due to the global health crisis and the vulnerability of its guests, the resort has remained closed, and sadly they don’t know when they’ll be able to resume granting kids’ wishes.
