But, in true Florida fashion, December has ended which means we’re hopping straight from winter to…SUMMER?! That’s right! Move over winter flavors, we’re ready to sit on a beach with pineapple-flavored treats in hand. It may not actually be summer and we may not actually be on the beach somewhere, but that’s exactly where these NEW snacks are taking us in our minds.
Bengal Barbecue in Disneyland’s Adventureland
is an awesome (and awesomely themed!) spot to grab a snack, and for Valentine’s Day (being celebrated for a few more days at Disneyland Resort!), they’ve got two great options. We sipped on the Piranha Lemonade Slushy, and we gotta say: we’re in love!
Piranha Lemonade Slushy is a mango and pineapple slushy with lychee and pomegranate popping pearls! It’s as refreshing to drink as it sounds!
Unless you live under a rock somewhere, you know that the latest iteration of the Star Wars franchise — The Last Jedi — opens today, and you know the Disney Parks are leaping into the merchandise battle with amazing Star Wars souvenirs. (And we aren’t complaining!)
Our pal Carlye Wisel (find her at CarlyeWisel.com!) hooked us up with some pics of a Captain Phasma Stein that You. Must. Acquire.
It comes with your choice of grapes or pineapple — but while we appreciate some healthy eats from time to time, that’s not really why you’re buying it.
is one of our favorite places to pick up a quick and hearty snack in Disneyland. You already know that we can’t get enough of their meat and veggie skewers.
And it’s true: they put just about anything on a stick, with fun names like the Banyan Beef Skewer and the Safari Skewer. (Though we can never resist their stick-free signature, the Tiger Tail). [Read more…]
(Mental note: we need a secret, underground alert system for Dole Whip news.) Walt Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort, with its enormous Big Blue (Nemo-inspired) Pool and totally groovy theming, now has an alcoholic Dole Whip drink (and a non-alcoholic option!).
Yes, that sound you hear is us screaming with joy! To get one for yourself, you’re gonna have to make your way over to Art of Animation. You’ll know you’re there when you see massive depictions of animators’ sketches.
Today, we’re sharing with you one of our favorite Snack Hacks — Tajin Dole Whip — via our DFB YouTube Channel!
When we heard about this one through the Disney grapevine, we asked our Bestie and Dining in Disneyland expert Heather Sievers to investigate. She headed to Disneyland’s Tiki Juice Bar to check out just how this combo of two wonderful things came to be. [Read more…]
Happy 2016!! What better way to celebrate than with a bunch of rum in a pineapple!?
The Lapu Lapu may not rank quite as high on the list as the Jumbo Turkey Leg or Dole Whip as far as iconic Disney World indulgences go. Nope — this gem is for the kids in the know, and once YOU know about it, you may just want to put it #OnTheList!
We recently visited Tambu Lounge in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to celebrate its single-serve portion of ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. And now we’re already back to sing the praises of the Lapu Lapu. [Read more…]
Call it a little Disney Magic!
Mind blown? Yeah, mine too. You’re not seeing things…two of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved snack stops have switched places!
We’ve heard rumors, and now it seems to be happening: major changes are underway in Adventureland.
We’re still awaiting confirmation that a brand new restaurant might be coming to the area, but in the meantime, Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace have swapped real estate.
And we have lots of brand new pictures of the change as it’s happening right now!
Here’s FIRST LOOK at the brand new Aloha Isle Sign! Clearly, the Dole sponsorship is still firmly in place.
Check out this photo of the NEW Aloha Isle locale!
As you can see from the menu pic below, NEARLY everything that you previously enjoyed at Aloha Isle is now available at this new (old? new?) location.
On a very quick trip recently to Walt Disney World, I stayed at one of my favorite resorts, Disney’s Yacht Club.
It’s beautiful here, and I love the easy access to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But another big draw is that I’m really close to one of my favorite Disney watering holes — the Crew’s Cup Lounge!
You’ll find the Crew’s Cup tucked into a quiet corner right next to Yachtsman Steakhouse.
One of my favorite things about this spot is that it’s rarely crowded. In fact, I consider it to be a best kept secret for those of you who like a little respite now and then from the busyness of the parks.
Like the rest of the Yacht Club, you’ll find classy wood paneling and warm colors and lighting. And I love the brass panels above the bar, which add an understated visual interest to the themeing.
Tables and chairs are comfortable, and invite you to relax and linger a while.
While I love to stop in here for any excuse — it’s Thursday? I’m wearing black? — I also wanted to see if there was [Read more…]
