We’ve got a very important matter to discuss with you today!
We know we’re always talking about our favorite foods at the Disney theme parks, BUT did you know many of our favorite snacks don’t even require a park ticket?!
We’ve been hard at work in the parks scoping out all the latest news for you! First, a few things to remember… .
We have a lot to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in…

Cotton candy lemonade has been added to the mix at Everything Pop Food Court located in Disney’s Pop Century Resort! DFB author Wendy shares her thoughts…
We’re off to visit Everything Pop at Pop Century Resort!
Everything Pop is no stranger to unique treats. It is, of course, home of the King Cupcake!
And Tie-Dye Cheesecake! (Which, FYI, is now served in a circular serving versus a typical pie wedge — see the menu below.)
Now Pop is offering up another fun find… Cotton Candy Lemonade:).
You’ll find this beverage at the desserts counter, and can place your order right under the Ice Cream sign.
I’ll be honest… I pretty much figured the Cotton Candy was just a gimmick. You know, something cutesy to stick in the bottom of the cup and on top of the ice. And it IS pretty cute! I mean, how much fun is this??
But the fun factor

Welcome back guest author Joey Beyer to the Disney Food Blog with a groovy review of Pop Century’s food court!
On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, I had multiple firsts, which included the Liberty Tree Tavern, Le Cellier, and lunch at the Tusker House.
Today however, I will be discussing the food court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This was my first time staying at Pop Century, and my motivation was all the positive things I had heard about the “Everything Pop” food court.
The Pop Century food court is well organized and, even when it was very busy, it never felt overly crowded.
The panoply of foods that each station offered also impressed me. Breakfast offers everything from the standard Disney baked goods (e.g. cheese danishes and muffins) to breakfast burritos to the famous Pop Century waffles.
Lunch and dinner sees the stations change to a deli counter, a grill, a pizza and pasta station, and a Mexican/Asian cuisine station. Sweet treats from the bakery such as cake, cookies, and cupcakes are offered throughout the day.
At breakfast time I sampled a Pop Century waffle, a cheese Danish (a longstanding Disney resort favorite of mine since I was very young), banana bread, and the blueberry muffin.
Of these options, the Pop waffle stands out the most. It may just be me, but something about that “Pop!” in the middle of the waffle makes it taste that [Read more…]

We’re sending our courageous (and hopefully hungry) readers on another crawl.
Not surprisingly, this one is all about cheese! 😉 (You asked for it…and we thought it was an AWESOME idea!!) The best part? You’ll visit mostly counter-service and/or grab ‘n go locations on this cheese crawl, so no Advance Dining Reservations required! (Of course, if you want table-service cheese options, check out our Disney World Cheese Plates here!)
Some of you have attempted the 2011 Disney cupcake crawl and the 2012 Disney cupcake crawl and now it’s time to tackle another DFB favorite…
Gear up for tasting cheese selections on menus all over Walt Disney World. Your challenge is to sample these sweet and savory items, hopefully in a single Disney World vacation.
Follow the crawl step by step, or opt to select the items that you find most appetizing. You’ve reached the Cheese finish line when you’ve visited at least seven locations and sampled at least seven different cheese items.
Remember that Disney World menus have a way of changing, so if you need to substitute out new options for the ones below, we won’t deduct any points! Depending on your level of tolerance, you may want to split this crawl up over a couple of days. Either way, we won’t judge!
Some of these items can be purchased for a Disney Dining Plan snack credit, so save up those snacks!
Depart your hotel for a morning in Epcot’s Future World. At 11am, make your way to World Showcase! Your first stop is the Rose & Crown pub in Canada.
Rose & Crown Pub
Rose & Crown pub in United Kingdom is an awesome spot to hang with friends over drinks and apps. Be sure to say hi to Carl for us!

After featuring the Tie-Dye Cheesecake recipe on Disney Food Blog back in July 2009, I figured it was high time to review it!
Found at Disney World’s Pop Century Resort, this unique dessert has been a staple since the resort’s opening in 2003. And one reason why I think it’s particularly special (besides the fact that it’s gorgeous) is that it’s one of only a few unique, resort-specific desserts found on Disney World property (Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Zebra Domes and Port Orleans French Quarter’s beignets are two others in the club).
While this cake looks crazy, it’s actually pretty simple in structure. A multi-colored [Read more…]

We’ve just started a fun new series based on the Food Network’s (very cool) show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Due to some keen suggestions from readers, we’re splitting our series up into different sections: breakfast, appetizers & side dishes, snacks, entrees (lunch & dinner), and desserts & drinks.
Today, we’re taking a look at Appetizers and Side Dishes! I’ve done my favorite brand of informal polling (i.e. posted questions on twitter and facebook 😉 ) to find out others’ experiences of the “Best Thing They Ever Ate” as far as appetizers and side dishes at Disney.
Soups were by far the #1 mentioned appetizer/side when I reached out to facebook and twitter folks for their favorites.
