We’ve seen a lot of changes to Disney movie release dates this year!
Disney has postponed a number of release dates and film and television productions due to the global health crisis. The live-action remake of Mulan was initially scheduled to release in March and is now postponed with an undetermined release date. The future Star Wars and Avatar films have all been pushed back one year too.

The Disney Parks have slowly started to re-open around the world.
While Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland have reopened to guests, Walt Disney World theme parks will be welcoming guests again on July 11th and July 15th (and Disneyland Resort has a proposed reopening timeline as well). Although Tokyo Disneyland has yet to announce its re-opening timeline, Disneyland Paris will be opening back up to guests soon!

One of the outcomes of the global health crisis is that as movie theaters shutter, Disney has had to delay the release of some serious blockbusters.
Perhaps the highest-profile delay was of the live-action Mulan that was set to hit theaters in March. The film was pushed back almost immediately after having its world premiere. Now, it is set to debut July 24 and could potentially debut to low-capacity theaters in order to maintain social distancing. Although this could make it seem like Disney would gross less if the theaters can’t seat as many viewers, Hollywood expects that films can succeed even with fewer seats in the movie theaters — here’s why.
